COURSE STRUCTURE
The key focus of the STEPS - Daily Mains Answer Writing Programme is to make you capable of handling various subjects in one go (almost works like Mini Mock tests). The course helps you to revise the syllabus and to stay in touch with the whole comprehensive syllabus throughout the week.
Monday to Thursday is assigned to the core sections of the four GS Papers (GS I, GS II, GS III, GS IV) wherein questions would be asked from all the conventional areas of the UPSC Syllabus. Friday would be the day dedicated to current affairs section and Essay writing challenge.
Results- Well evaluated answer sheets along with the model answers would be provided after 72 - 75 hrs for every paper.
- Monday for GS Paper I (4-5 questions)
- Tuesday for GS Paper II (4-5 questions)
- Wednesday for GS Paper III (4-5 questions)
- Thursday for GS Paper IV (4-5 questions)
- Friday for Current Affairs (4-5 questions) &
- Saturday for Essay Writing.
MONDAY – Reserved for General studies (GS) Paper I, in which we cover the conventional areas of the syllabus of GS Paper I (Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society) through a given part of syllabus provided by the mentor.
TUESDAY – Reserved for General studies (GS) Paper II, in which we cover the conventional areas of the syllabus of GS Paper II (Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations.) through a given part of syllabus provided by the mentor.
WEDNESSDAY– Reserved for General studies (GS) Paper III, in which we cover the conventional areas of the syllabus of GS Paper III (Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management.) through a given part of syllabus provided by the mentor.
THURSDAY– Reserved for General studies (GS) Paper IV, in which we cover the conventional areas of the syllabus of GS Paper IV (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude & Case studies.) through a given part of syllabus provided by the mentor.
FRIDAY– Reserved for Current affairs of National & International importance, in which we cover the contemporary areas of all the GS papers through questions based on newspaper editorials answer writing from leading national newspapers like The Hindu, The Indian Express, The Tribune, The Live Mint, The Hindustan Times etc; magazines like Yojana, Kurukshetra, World Focus, Frontline, Science Reporter, Economic and Political Weekly (EPW), Civil Services Times etc; TV & Radio Debates like RS TV, LS TV, DD, AIR etc; Online sources like PIB, PRS etc
And also reserved for Essay writing in which two topical essays are provided to the aspirants. The entire idea is to cover each and every topic that has relevance for the examination. Topics like Social issues, Economic issues, Women issues; Environmental issues, Global issues, Geo-political issues, Philosophical issues, psychological issues etc are elaborately practiced.
The syllabus division for the answer writing practice would be provided prior to the test for preparation. The covers the one round of syllabus in every three months and the course is cyclic in nature, so can be joined form any Monday.
